Cyrus doesn't want anything for Black Friday

I don't want anything for Black Friday. There isn't really anything new or cool this year. I remember a long time ago when flatscreen TVs first became en vogue; everyone had to have one. Also, there was a time where everyone had to have a PS3 or Xbox 360. And before that it was the GPS that everyone had to have. What was it before that? The iPod maybe?

What does everyone need right now? I don't really need that much. The Wii U was just released and it is not being featured at a below retail price on Black Friday. The Nintendo 3DS is a very appealing choice but there aren't really deals for the XL version.

Just a few years back, Raven braved the Black Friday crowds and picked up a PlayStation 3 in a very victorious manner. Years before I met Raven, I picked up a Dreamcast on Black Friday in a very heroic way. Unfortunately for people who enjoy making big Black Friday purchases, this year's selections leave a great deal to be desired. On Thanksgiving, Microsoft offered a number of really highly discounted games that could be purchased online. Many 50 and $60 games retailing for only $25. Again, these deals were online, so you didn't even have to leave your home (the deals are now gone). Maybe I'm wrong, but I couldn't see myself braving Black Friday crowds to save on a couple video games that would likely go down in price shortly anyway.

Perhaps I'd feel differently if I enjoyed the thrill of the hunt.
